This Staying Calm Social Story is a great resource to help students on the Autism spectrum be able to better deal with things in school that may be difficult. Each page is written very clearly to help even the most struggling learners stay calm calm instead of having a meltdown. Four of the pages are interactive! Children are able to 1. draw a picture of themselves taking deep breaths, 2. create a list of things they can do when they need to take a break, 3. create a list of things that they are good at to help them focus on the positive instead of the negative, and 4. draw a picture of themselves being calm and having a GOOD DAY!!!! This is a great resource for the special education classroom or small group counseling sessions!! :) The Resource Place
