Rex hungry and looking for something to eat. But, then that’s where this story take a little turn – he comes across Edna, a chicken. In fact, the very first chicken there ever was and the T. Rex expects that he should be able to eat her… but he doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into as Edna is one smart chicken. I though the adorable illustrations paired perfectly with the text of a dinosaur who finally meets his match. I’m also really glad that the author included a note after the story ended explaining that chickens did not live at the same time as the dinosaurs, but that birds and dinos lived during the same time period. Personal Reaction: I love a good dino story, I mean, who doesn’t? And this story has it all – a ferocious T. Rex, fun dinosaur names that kids will always be able to pronounce better than you and a fierce little chicken who became the protector of all dinosaurs. This story is sure to be one that makes kids giggle and maybe see chickens in a whole new light!
