This shot was taken from a small pond just beneath Minaret Lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Throughout the afternoon the clouds kept building and I had really high hopes for an explosive sunset. Unfortunately as soon as I started shooting the clouds began to recede - this is one of my first shots from the evening before the skies started to clear. I really can't complain, though. This area is mind-blowingly gorgeous in any light.
