Welcome to the winnie & walter premiere of Scenery: Big Bang Bling + The Big, the Bold and Fun! Tomorrow, these amazing new sets will be available for purchase! Here are the last of my samples: The Big, the Bold and Fun contains a lot of wonderful words to create travel-themed, vacation-themed, summer-themed projects. Here I stamped the word "adventure" around the edges, making it very subtle and keeping the trailer and the sentiment the focal point. I'll shamelessly enter this to this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge :) On this card, I combined both of today's sets. And another card combining both sets. I first stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment and the sequins using a clear, sparkling embossing powder. Then I inked my panel with Peacock Feather Distress Ink and a mini ink blending tool, trying to achieve a gradient look. The last project is a layout about my daughter having fun with water. Again, I used both sets for this. I hope you liked all the projects with the new winnie & walter stamps! Leave a comment on the winnie & walter blog for your chance to win them! And remember, the stamps will be available tomorrow, May 25! Thank you so much for visiting and for your sweet comments! Hi Folks! The last two sets of the Winnie & Walter release are sequels to the most popular sets (Scenery: Big Bang Confetti and The Big, the Bold, and the Happy). I've been waiting for these!! Both sets are combined for this post. The Scenery set includes SEQUIN stamps, and they're in different sizes ... love these! I've used them on this card and it was embarrassing how quickly the panel took to make. Like, minutes! I added some real sequins to fill it out, and some gold thread swished behind the panel a la Laura Bassen. And seriously, how PERFECT could the sentiment be with shiny sequins? It's almost like they planned it that way : ) This card uses both sets, as well as yesterday's Bubble Talk for the word balloon. I thought it would be fun to split up the sentiment and have all the suggestions to "smile" bouncing around the bottom of the card with the confetti. For the circle confetti you can either color them in with marker, or take the easy way and use the solid stamp included in the set. That's what I did. Just do three or four of each color and you've got a balanced design! I selected a few of the confetti to add glitter to so there would be a little something extra. I picked most of the colors from the patterned paper that's lining the inside of the card (American Crafts My Girl). For more inspiration, head on over to the winner of our Play Date #1 Challenge, Shirley-Bee, our guest designer Chaitali Narla from Iron Craft, Julie and Shay themselves on the Winnie & Walter blog, and the rest of the Winnie & Walter talent: Heather Pulvirenti | Joni Andaya | Vanessa Menhorn For a chance to win all seven stamp sets comment here. You can also comment-to-win a stamp set each day of the release on the Winnie & Walter blog. Thanks for looking, and get ready for tomorrow, May 25th when all the sets will be on sale! -Kelly

Julie I hope you are ready for some FUN! hee hee! I had an idea, not remembering if I saw this somewhere else, but wanted to try it. I wanted to do some repeated stamping of the sentiment behind the banner to give this card some interest. I used some of my new Bristol paper and stamped the "fun" stamp from The Big, the Bold and Fun set into two shades of raspberry ink [Distress Picked Raspberry and Hero Arts Raspberry Jam] and then randomly stamped the word over and over again and before it had a chance to dry, I sprayed and sprayed and sprayed water all over the image, softening the look and giving it an adequate blur. Anywhere it was too faded, I went back with a paintbrush and some watered down ink to areas that needed just a little more color. After drying this with my heat tool, I sprayed it again with my Pearl Glimmer Mist to give it a nice shimmer, but it isn't easy to see here. I didn't want the paper to look too matte against the navy Night Sky banner strip and Silver shimmer paper from Papertrey Ink used to cut out FUN from The Big, the Bold and Fun digital cut files. I was able to make the word bigger than the stamp and give it some real presence on the card. I like how it extends above and below the popped up navy banner. Using my silver embossing powder, I added the word "have" and the faceted sequin strip and single faceted sequins from Big Bang Bling strategically placed on the card and added a few hot pink gemstones for good measure. Really loving how this one turned out! Keeping with the bling theme, I used the "shine" sentiment and small word "bright" (also from The Big, the Bold and Fun) for my next card, stamped and embossed in silver on the same navy Night Sky paper. I also added more Big Bang Bling using the pinwheel style, scattering them in a diagonal across the card. And for a little more shine, light green gems to match the card base. Love this color combo! I don't do this offset panel often, but I really do like it. I thought it would be cool to accent this card just a little more and this green "Bling on a Roll" glitter tape. I used a pencil to trace the shape of the panel, and put the tape along the traced lines, overlapping at the corner. It actually isn't very noticeable where the tape meets, and I really like how this brightens up the card and really pops the blue even more. {happy place} You will be in your {happy place} too once you see all of the fabulous projects from Shay, Shirley, Chaitali, and the ever-so-TALENTed design team! Enjoy!!!! Shay Like Shirley, I thought the triangle borders from Scenery: Rectangled & Triangled would make an excellent banner. The border very easily bends to allow for very easy banner making. I filled in the triangles with the sketchy triangles in butter bar, pale tomato and soft cantaloupe by Hero Arts Shadow Ink. I then stamped "smile" and "celebrate" from The Big, the Bold and Extras and "play" from The Big, the Bold and Fun. Placed on a black card base and with some black sequins the card is done. For my next card I paired our two featured stamp sets along with Scenery: Rectangled & Triangled. The Pier collection by Crate Paper release last summer had this patterned paper of beach umbrellas which could easily be created with the triangles from Scenery: Rectangled & Triangled. So I stamped 12 of each of my 3 chosen designs, colored them in with Copics and cut them out. On a panel I stamped the little words from The Big, the Bold and Fun in a design I created on an acrylic block. I then distressed the edges with squeezed lemonade and mustard seed Distress Inks. I stamped "fun" in Versamark and embossed in black. For some more summer goodness I stamped the sunburst sequins in mustard seed. I finished the card by adding a layer of black card stock and then on a white card base. My last card is a shaker card. For easy shaker card making I relied on one of my favorite crafters, Betsy Veldman, and her newly released MakeIt Market Kit Co. Shakers and Sprinkles kit by Papertrey Ink (may not be on sale any longer). For the backing of the shaker portion of the card I stamped the outline flat sequin block several times in black and then filled in some of the spaces with the individual flat outline sequins. Next I over-stamped the sequins with the flat solid sequins in pool, bubble gum and butter bar Hero Arts Shadow Ink. I also strategically stamped the "you" "sparkle" and "and" all from The Big, the Bold and Fun. I added some real sequins and finished up inside of the shaker. On the outside I added a gold embossed fussy cut "shine". Last I attached the shaker to patterned paper from the Knee Highs collection (ring around the rosies) from Basic Grey and I attached it all to a white card base.
