This weekend I took my first trip to Annapolis. I went to get some sunrise photos over the Chesapeake. After I left the beach I headed straight for St. Mary's Church. I'd seen people's photos on Flickr and wanted to go for awhile; I mean, look at that ceiling. I'm not religious but I can appreciate a well-made building. I made it to the church at 8:00 and there were quite a few people there waiting for services to begin. I ended up sitting patiently through the entire mass to get my photos. I only had a few minutes because they started to clear people out for a funeral. They seem very visitor/photographer friendly here. There is a sign up that says no flash photography is allowed but otherwise you can go ahead. This picture is composed of 3 images merged to HDR in Photomatix Pro.
