you were always different compared to other gems. aside from being male (which the diamonds intended) you were partially organic but the same time not because the spot you were seeded in was a tomb. you also were incredibly loyal to your diamond and would shatter yourself if asked to. ten thousand years before the crystal gem rebellion there was one that was led by a red kyber and after squashing said rebellion the diamonds give you a task that shatters your entire perception of homeworld.
