I was waiting for a flickr "kimono girl" to tell me what that outer cover is called. But, a guy beat them to the punch. "Haori". That's a word nobody around me ever used in the part of Japan where I lived. Everything was either Happi Coats at festivals and Sushi Bars....or sleeved Chanchanko for adults in winter.
