Vintage label sizes are different than today’s sizes and title sizes are approximate only. Go by the dress measurements to ensure a good fit. Flip your dress inside out and lay it flat. Measure across the bust from underarm to underarm and double. Do the same across the waist and hips. Length is from shoulder to hem. Use those numbers to compare to the measurements listed. If you use your own measurements, leave room for moving and breathing comfortably. The measurements provided are maximum. Your numbers must be less than the dress' to fit inside the dress. If you need an inch, consider wearing a long line bra. Dresses are structured and not stretchy unless noted. Do not use your bra size number as the bust measurement is not the same. Larger dresses are pinned back on the XS dress form to fit. Flat lays may be provided to see shape. Dresses that do not have labels may be home or seamstress sewn, common with 80s bridesmaid and formal party wear. Alterations may be present.
