Hi Bloggers. Hope you enjoyed the One Day Special Shows and love the weaving dies as much as I do. I think they really are the most veratile dies that Sue Wilson has produced to date. The feedback I have had from you all has been fantastic, thank you. Hopefully, you'll all be weaving soon! Today, I have another card with a weave on it but using a smaller die for a frame. I'll mix the posts upa bit from tomorrow onwards so that you don't get too bored if you're not a weaving fan. Don't worry, if you love then they will all be shared soon. You can also see all the blog posts with weaves here. The weave on this one does require a bit of patience - it takes approx an hour to weave a full piece but this is for a much smaller frame so took about 20 mins. I cut the frame first. I cut die #6 from Sue's Madeleine Die Set out of Peach Card. I cut dies #4, #5 and #6 together out of Coconut White Card and glued the 2 die cuts together. I left it a while for the glue to dry and then cut the centre out by slotting die #4 back into place. I cut Sue's Striped Weaving Die out of Coconut White Card twice and Peach Card once. I glued the 2 Coconut White ones together filling in the gaps. I measured how deep I needed to weave by popping my frame over the Coconut White strips. I trimmed away the extra bit to use on another project - no use on weaving too much! This is a 1 x 1 weave so, taking a single strip of Peach, weave under 1, over 1, under 1, over 1 and so on to the end. Then another single strip of Peach, weave over 1, under 1, over 1, under 1 and so on to the end. Repeat these 2 rows till desired size is woven. I added 3D Foam to the Madeline Frame and added to my woven piece, trimming away the excess. I cut the Best Wishes Die from the Justrite Best Wishes Sentiment Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I added Clear Perfect Medium, CS Phill Martin Graceful Peach Embossing Powder and heat set. I added more Perfect Medium, more powder and heat set again. For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Couture Creations Tea Party Embossing Folder. I cut Sue's Star Flower Cluster out of Coconut White Card and Peach Card and added it to the bottom of my background using 3D Foam. I assembled the card as shown adding a 8mm White Pearl to each corner and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat. I will try and get as many orders posted out this morning as I can - I only have till 12.30pm though as it's Saturday. The rest will go out on Monday. Thanks for stopping by.
