This is a story of an errant dog taken in by a doctor which performs surgery on the dog to make it human. I read this book before reading Master and Margarita to have a feeling of the author's style of writing. If i compare this novel with Master and Margarita, in my opinion, A Dog's Heart is not Mikhail Bulgakov's best work. I am glad I read this book because I was curious about it it and it did not have so many pages.
