I love Virginia Woolf's experimental writing. This is the first book in which she used the stream of consciousness as a writing style. Reading this book was a beautiful journey, with it's ups and downs and it's obstacles, similar to waves. At times the sentences touched me to the point that I wanted to cry. Sometimes the words and sentences were so beautiful I had to reread them to appreciate their pronunciation and sounds. At other times I was frustrated as I did not understand what I was reading. But it was always a joy to come back to it. I am glad that I was able to finish The Waves. What an accomplishment!
