Here's a nice SET of FOUR natural fiber placemats from 1978. They were made in the Philippines of Abaca ~ also known as Manila hemp ~ and woven into a lovely oval design. It's almost as though crochet techniques were used to create the scallops and knots. These were a super nice set used for casual dining and will look equally great in today's homes.
