This beautiful earthenware teapot was made by James Sadler & Sons (Ltd) at one of their two potteries in Burslem, Staffordshire, England. This teapot is round with four ribbed panels tapering out from the shoulder forming lobes then back in to a quadrant base copying a c.1830-35 form. It has a raised collar flaring out to nearly flat and plain loop handle gilded on top and spout entirely gilded as is the knob. There is some molding around the shoulder and the edge of the lid and it’s hand painted with tiny red grape vines and gilded leaves. The teapot is 6¾" to top of finial, 6" in diameter, 9⅞" spout to handle.
