Queen Camilla shook the casket of her late mother-in-law again and took out a unique brooch that appeared on the third day of Royal Ascot. The impressive size carved emerald "Delhi Durbar" brooch (from the same-named paryura) was presented to Queen Mary of Teck in honor of her coronation by the Empress of India in 1911 on behalf of all Indian Maharani (wives of maharaja) by the way. By the way, maharani herself threw herself off for an expensive brooch. Interesting detail is that rose is carved on hexagonal emerald stone which makes decoration unusual and unique. After death of Queen Mary Teck, brooch with parure was inherited by Elizabeth II who wore jewel only last two decades of reign.
