What a fun way to learn about key achievements of the Han Dynasty including the sundial, paper, the seismograph, silk, and meritocracy with a little bit of rigor and a whole lot of fun! This history lesson has tons of options for instruction and practice. First, students read a page doodle note-style reading about the advancements in the Han Dynasty of Ancient China. A reading note spider-map graphic organizer is included to complete while reading. Then, students create a page advertising leaflet that can be used as an infomercial script to be acted out in front of the class as groups. Lastly, students can complete a Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning graphic organizer that has them defend the claim that the Han Dynasty had many long-lasting achievements. This activity is fun and engaging!
