Not many women know about this little thing right here and the technique is advance. So handle with care so you don't end looking pretty messed up. The key is less more. Your makeup should be simple and natural. You want your FACE to notice not a lot of makeup. Think of contouring as painting a blank canvas. You apply your favorite foundation to even out your face. Then think of making a shape to your face. The main thing is this: -Dark shading will make facial features recede. -Light shading will make facial features more prominent. What can we achieve with contouring. - Thin down a rounded face - Soften a square face - Define your cheek bones - Narrow a large or wide shape nose - Define your jawline - Create fuller lips - Lift saggy eyes - Minimize a large forehead or receding hair line - Make your eyes bigger. To sculpt our face we will need. -Your true foundation color that matches your skin exactly. - Your Contour color that should be 2 shades darker than your foundation and with the same undertone. -Your highlighting color that should be 1 to 2 shades lighter than your foundation and with the same undertone. Let's apply and BLEND. Now look at your face type to see the best way to contour. Oval face You don't need to contour as your face shape is already symmetrical. You can experiment as oval faces can support most makeup trends. Jus remember that light shades appear more prominent and darker shades decrease the size of the area. Diamond Face Contour at the cheeks to minimize width Highlight your forehead, under your eyes and your chin to draw attention to the centre of your face. Rectangle Face Contour on the corners of either side of your forehead and across the hairline. Contour on either side of your jaw blending up to the bottom of your ear. Highlight your forehead, under your eyes and your chin to draw attention to the centre of your face. Oblong Face Contour across the lower section of your chin to shorten your face length Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks to widen your face. Heart Face Contour at the temples and cheeks to diminish the width of your upper face. Highlight your forehead under your eyes and your chin to draw attention to the centre of your face. Triangle Face Contour on the jawline and cheeks to minimize the width Highlight your forehead, under your eyes and your chin to draw attention to the centre of your face. Square face Contour on the corners of either side of your forehead. Contour on either side of your jaw blending up to the bottom of your ear. Highlight your forehead under your eyes and your chin to draw attention to the centre of your face. Round Face Contour to your temples cheeks and jawline to create the illusion of an oval.
