Update on the latest news in relation to Japan tourism visas and Japan entry requirements for travelers. Japan will ease restrictions on international travelers on September 7, 2022. Pre-flight PCR tests waived for those who have proof of 3 COVID-19 vaccinations. Unsupervised tour groups to Japan (individual/independent travelers) will be allowed to enter, and the daily cap on tourists will be raised. Japan tourist visas must be approved before entry. No tourist visa available upon landing.
