Welcome to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous November Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Donna's blog. After your visit here you'll hop on over to Wendi's blog. To start at the beginning and work your way through the hop, just click on this link to Gloria's blog. We just returned from our place in the Smoky Mountains. There was a bit of a chill in the air. The leaves were at peak for the season. We spent our days taking in the breathtaking color in the mountains. Each evening we curled up in front of the fire with hot cocoa, popcorn, and a movie. We even made S'mores! I have to agree with Winnie the Pooh when he described autumn as "...A time of hot chocolaty mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, and best of all, leaping into LEAVES!" After our splendid holiday I couldn't resist pulling out my Alterations leaf dies ( I love them!) in an attempt to capture some of the beauty. I distressed, stitched, and layered Maja Design papers, then went about creating an autumn spray of foliage, flowers, and berries. My original idea was to make the front of the card look like and envelope, running the floral arrangement so that the flap of the envelope remained exposed. One thing led to another, and the florals became a little overgrown. I still managed to tuck in a wax envelope seal near the the right side of flap. I added a dusting of gesso and a rustic jute bow. In the photo below you can kind of see how it started out with the look of an envelope. Thank you for joining me and taking a peek at my project. I hope you have a day filled with happiness and creative adventures! Hugs,
