Hi Dear Folk, Another State American quilt square, Maryland. Maryland is just south of us and a short drive to the state line. It has two maritime coastlines, the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay, so is a go to place for vacations and the shore. Also famous is Maryland Crab. It is one of the smallest states in the USA. Is known for the Chincoteague pony also know as the Assateague horse. Legend has it that these are descendants of Spanish horses shipwrecked off the Virginia coast on their way to Peru in the 16th century. The ponies live on the Maryland/Virginia border on Assateague Island. Christy
