Follow me for more tips and info! ❤️ ➡️ The pelvic floor has to stretch/lengthen during childbirth. Using the rubber band as a visual, think about pulling on one that's really tight. Now, think about trying to lengthen that tight rubber band (or pelvic floor). That is going to make it more prone to injury! ✨ So, let's try to allow our pelvic floor muscles to have full range of motion. That way it can respond appropriately when we laugh or sneeze or cough. 🫁 That is why I teach 3-D breathing (so we can practice expanding & lengthening the pelvic floor when inhaling). And there is so much more you CAN do to prep your pelvic floor to yield!
