Vintage original etching of Vienna's Votivkirsche (Votive Church) by 20th century Austrian artist Hans L. Leisch (history below). Professionally framed in the 1970s in a hardwood frame with delicate egg-and-dart detail, under non-glare glass and pale green silk-look mat with gold core, the etching depicts the church at a distance viewed from within an arched portal. Initially appearing to be monochromatic, on closer inspection, subtle coloring can be seen on vegetation, distant rooftops and some of the architecture. Intricately detailed and stunning depiction of a light fixture hanging in the foreground. Signed in pencil along the bottom margin "Orig. Rad. [original radierung: original etching] Leisch." Lovely addition to a gallery wall. Overall measurements are 14-7/8" x 10.75" The etching itself measures approx. 9" x 6.5". Excellent preowned vintage condition with some minor scuffing on the frame. Ready to hang.
