In this collaborative activity, students find ratios and proportions in the following types of problems: 1: Determine the ratio of objects shown and the fraction of one type of object 2: Solve a proportion equation 3: Complete a ratio table and plot the results on a grid 4: Determine ratios from a word problem 5: Determine if a table is a ratio table or if two ratios are proportional There are 6 of each pennant type. Once each pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know ratios and proportions!" Included are 30 pennants, an optional student answer sheet and an answer key. Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom décor. See more math pennants.
