There are so many things you must do in the French Quarter. The French Quarter is where it's at in New Orleans, and is truly the heartbeat of the city.
Authored by Cvanhulle, the MOC-165373 New Orleans Hamburger Joint is a modular kit that accurately reproduces most of the details of the actual architecture, making it highly collectible. This burger joint is my second French Quarter-style building in New Orleans. It was submitted to the BDP Program Series 3, but unfortunately didn't make the cut. It is a corner building on a 32*32 baseplate with connectors at a lower level to allow for connecting roads. It is easily converted into a truly modular, robust unit and will fit right into your city! On the ground floor there are two smaller shops: a sports shop and a magic crystal shop. To the right of the sports shop there is a staircase leading up to the hamburger restaurant which occupies the top two floors. On the first floor you can place your order and then your burger will be prepared in the open kitchen behind the counter. There is some seating available inside for your meal, but you can also go outside to the lovely New Orleans-style patio. There is some additional seating available on the second floor. The second floor also has a staff room with lockers and a restroom with lounge lighting. The model sits in the diorama to the left of the pharmacy. As you may have noticed, the sidewalk also curves to the left, making room for another building to complete the New Orleans layout. Still to come: the street in front of the Hamburger Joint and the 4th building, and the Mardi Gras parade.

Truth: New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the United States. Living in Austin, NOLA has always just been a short jaunt away and perfect for weekend getaways. Or, on long road trips to the East Coast as a kid, we’d pass through for a night and stop to get beignets at Cafe Du Monde. So you can see that I have a soft spot for the Big Easy. While you’re in NOLA, there are so many great Instagrammable spots that it’s hard to just choose a few. From the balconies of the French Quarter to the best beignets, here are a few of my picks for the best photo spots in New Orleans.
