"Tuatha Dé Danann" - A 5x7 blank greeting card of the original painting by Emily Balivet, 2015. The Tuatha Dé Danann ("People of the goddess Danu" and pronounced Thoo-a day Du-non) are a supernatural race in Irish mythology who had perfected the use of magic. They are thought to represent the main deities of pre-Christian Gaelic Ireland. They fought and conquered a race of giants who represented the destructive forces of nature. The Tuatha Dé were later driven to the underworld, an infinite paradise where no one grows old and time has no meaning. Some say doorways to their realm are found to this day, but those who enter may never return! The card measures 5x7 and is printed on acid free, archival quality smooth, matte stock...perfect for framing, too! Please browse my shop sections for other print sizes. The card is sealed in a cello sleeve with an ivory envelope and will be shipped via First Class mail. I combine shipping on multiple purchases.
