Open the file that you'd like to print. 2. Print on your home printer with the matching paper size (the paper sizes are denoted in the file names), and borderless setting, if available. It's that easy. :) 3. If you want to print a file that is larger than your printer can output (average home printers only print as large as 8.5x11), Select the option for “poster” or “tile” setting that allows you to print the large file over many 8.5x11 sheets of paper. Then you simply trim off the non printed edges (if your printer does not print to the edge) and tape the back of the sheets together to make one large poster. This option is great for Do-it-yourselfers who need a large poster asap. ** For Printing at Local Stores ** You can either order the poster through their website then pick it up later, or go in person to order. 1: Put the file on a USB thumb drive and bring it to your local Staples, FedEx/Kinkos, OfficeMax, or similar office supply store near you. They can usually print it same day or overnight. Most places allow you to choose cardstock, poster board, or photo paper. They usually have very friendly helpful people on staff that don’t mind your questions and can guide you with best choices for printing your poster. 2. OR go the website of your local Staples, FedEx/Kinkos, OfficeMax, or similar office supply store. Follow the instructions online for ordering printed posters, upload your file, and purchase. You’ll have the option of selecting the local store where you would like to pick up your poster. ** For Online Printing ** 1. Go the the website of an online printer (like shortrunposters.com, www.overnightprints.com, www.vistaprint.com, or similar). Follow the instructions online for ordering printed posters, upload your file, and purchase. You will get you printed poster shipped to you in the mail. Many of these sites even have the option to have the poster mounted to a sturdy backing or framed for your wall. Tips/Suggestions: • PDF files will open in Acrobat or other PDF reader, if you do not have this on your computer, it is available for free download on line (https://get.adobe.com/reader/). If you are having a problem with this format, just send me a message and I can send you the file in another format or size :) • If your home printer has a borderless setting, use it. The files look best when printed borderless with a small amount of extension (most photo printers have these settings in their file set up menus). Basically, you'd print these files the same way you'd print a photo on a piece of photo paper. • Use whatever paper you like, but heavier paper will have a better feel (and will hold up better when making a hand held sign). ______________ • GETTING YOUR PROTEST SIGN READY FOR A MARCH: The idea is keep your sign sturdy but not make it so that it is too heavy to carry. Ideally you would want it to survive the march and be able to use it again. You can find sturdy backing like posterboard or foam core from an art supply store, craft store like Michaels, or office supply store like Staples. Adhere your poster to the backing with spray glue, or heavy duty double sided tape. You can carry your poster as is, or attach a handle to hold it high. The best stick to use is a long flat wooden 36” ruler that you can find at a hardware store. Alternatively 36" strips of balsa wood can be found at craft or hardware stores. Tape two or three of them together to make it sturdy. If you can find long enough section of a cardboard box, you could cut it into two long 3 inch strips and ducttape them together to make a light pole. Or, a sturdy inside cardboard role from a role of wrapping paper. Slip the handle in between the printed poster and backing before you adhere them together. ______________ Colors may slightly vary due to screen resolution and differences in printer inks. Designs Copyrighted by ProtestNation For Personal Use Only - No Resale Permitted After purchase, you may print as many as you need for you and your friends to use. But resale or posting online for free use is not permitted, design is protected by copyright. • Thanks for helping show the world that we oppose his agenda on every front. Never give up, never give in, RESIST!
