Whether Distance Learning or Classroom Learning, middle school and high school students need to bounce out of the writing lethargy blues when it grabs their brains. This Active and Passive Voice package motivates them to understand why they need to and how they can write in Active and not Passive voice. In this 14 slide presentation, Bubba and Zelda - my teen characters who appear in many of my grammar and vocabulary lessons - show why Active Voice is preferable in writing. The presentation offers 30 sentences that can be used for practice, quizzes, or for both. Any of the slides, but especially the four with the exercises can be printed instead of having the students copy the sentences. For virtual responses, I have added a blank Student Response Sheet. As always, this activity- PDF version- may be downloaded and printed for classroom use. Also, an Easel Activity is ready to be used for Google Classroom. Teachers may choose to add an interactive layer of their own for digital use by clicking on the red "Use as a Buyer" rectangle on the product's page.
