This book contains three accounts of industry work, 'A Visit to a Coal Mine', 'A Day in an Iron Works', and 'A Day in a Shipyard', as part of Cooke's World at Work series. Full of intriguing details as well as beautiful illustrations, this book is sure to delight historians and collectors alike. Of faults there is little to mention besides some minor shelf-wear and slight rubbing of the gilt lettering on the spine. For the most part the book is excellently preserved with the front cover retaining much of its original beauty, all original contents present and firmly bound with little to no foxing throughout. There is also a curious gift inscription on the front free endpaper dated Christmas of 1941, 'From The Warboys'. With such charming provenance and in great condition, this book would make a unique gift. Established in 1991, The Eagle Bookshop is a trusted name in rare and antiquarian bookselling.
