This is a highly decorative, dark, dense hardwood that, in many ways, resembles impossible-to-get Brazilian Rosewood or super-rare Indian Rosewood. This wood comes from several certified sustainable forestry operations in parts of South America. Two commemorative pens, made from the same wood, are included with this beautiful cremation. Morado is a fine-textured hardwood known for the color of its heartwood, which is highly varied with shades of yellow, brown, red, orange, & violet intermixed with occasional black striping. As Morado wood ages it will darken to a deep violet-brown color, while at the same time maintaining its intense and vibrant grain pattern. Although Morado has a greater color range it resembles East Indian Rosewood and is recognized for its beauty.
