Tawney Owl is one of my collection of original, single-colour linocut prints. They are perfect for any interior and make an ideal gift for any art lover. Image size: 130mm x 185mm Paper trimmed size: 205mm x 290mm The picture is hand-printed with Caligo Safe Wash Relief printing ink on 160gsm Canaletto Velino. A smooth, slightly creamy, acid-free printmaking paper made with 20% cotton. Caligo printing inks are light-fast, professional-quality oil-based inks made with vegetable oils. ➼ The print has a limited edition of 40 and is signed and numbered. ➼ Lino relief printing is a traditional technique in which specialist tools are used to carve an image onto a block of grey printmaking linoleum. ➼The block is inked and printed onto paper using a press, and as each print is handmade, there will be slight variations in tone and texture. ➼ The print will be packaged with care in a plastic-free glassine envelope with a thick card backing and posted in a sturdy card envelope.
