The turquoise is gem grade because it is 100% natural unstabalized turquoise It also has some color variation in it. Most turquoise requires hardening, but not gem grade! The Sleeping Beauty Mine in Globe AZ, closed seven years ago. This piece was cut from old stock I purchased before the mine closed. 1.75 inches long by 1.25 inches wide.
