Adorn your home, Shrine, or temple with this banner printed with an image of Hathor As Aphrodite. During the era of Ptolemaic Egypt and the Roman Empire, many of the gods and goddesses of Egypt were combined with Greek, Roman and other deities to create images and cults with shared iconography and titles. In this design, Hathor’s cow horns merge with the Venusian myrtle wreath and Her solar disk reveals the shell recalling the Birth of Aphrodite. Her hair style is traditional for images of Hathor as are Her bovine ears. Artwork drawn and then printed by Arún’s hand. Each of the seven designs in this series was printed on the appropriate planetary day (Friday in this case) after prayers to the appropriate gods and angels using passages from the Heptameron, Hygromanteia, Picatrix and PGM. 21”x30”
