This is such a neat aquamarine specimen. When you first look at it, you notice a nice cluster of sky blue aquamarine crystals in the middle of muscovite mica blades. It's beautiful! Then you notice another aquamarine...then some small crystals hidden amongst the blades! I love looking at this one with a loop. The top of the aquamarines are etched and the etching is actually indented into the top of the main crystal. You can see the effect when you look in the crystal. It looks like tiny upside down pyramids. Very interesting. The largest crystal is 0.75" x 0.75". This was mined about 28 years ago and has been in my private collection ever since. From the Gilgit District, Pakistan. Aquamarine is a stone that works at the 5th chakra (at the throat,) the area that deals with communication. It helps one speak their truth with confidence and grace. It is also a calming stone, decreasing stress just by holding it. A great large cabinet specimen for the beryl collector (Beryl is the family that aquamarine belong to. Other beryls are emerald, heliodor, goshenite and morganite.) 2.5" tall x 6.25" wide x 2.75" deep.
