During the last decade of his life, Matisse could not create art in the same manner as he once did due to his declining health. He began to create by painting paper and cutting out shapes. He "painted" with scissors. These shapes were seemingly simple yet expressive, distilling the world around him to a few lines and colours. Using scissors and gouache, he created a magical world of plants, animals, figures and shapes. Each element is formatted for easy use and ready for any project your imagination can conjure!
