This beautiful Arthur Rackham print with text "They thanked her and said goodbye, and she went on her journey" is from the 1979 book “English Fairy Tales”. Measuring 16cm x 21cm (6.25in x 8.25in) and printed on semi-gloss paper, it is blank on the reverse and is signed in the print. Arthur Rackham (1867–1939) was an English book illustrator. As a child he showed a precocious talent for drawing, and at the age of 17 he worked at the Lambeth School of Art as a part-time student. His first published drawing appeared in 1884. He is recognised as one of the leading literary figures during the Golden Age of British book illustration.
