I am offering this extremely rare McDonald's promotional Varsity jacket, crafted in Leather and Wool by renowned USA designer Jeff Hamilton, and featuring the first Maccas advertising slogan with the Speedee character and a single Golden Arch. Tubby Chef Speedee was created by the McDonald brothers (Richard and Maurice) in 1948 to promote the speedy food service of their restaurant in San Bernardino. Burgers were 15 cents and fries cost a dime! Taged size M for Medium it was issued in a limited number in California USA as a promotional garment at a convention of McDonald's owner/managers from across the globe in the 1980's. Featuring the well known Maccas advertising and colours, it was designed by Jeff Hamilton and made from a mix of soft orange leather and pure black wool, with a red satin quilted lining and rusched leather waist band. More than a jacket, it is a work of art! I have searched the Internet and cannot find another like it..so am listing as extremely rare OOAK McDonald's commemorative Leather Jacket. In the Varsity style of the 1950's, it is in great Vintage condition, with the unique Jeff Hamilton button/stud fasteners all in place and has never been worn, but stored carefully for the past 40 years or more.
