This striped "skinny" tailor's clapper is made for seamstresses, tailors, or quilters looking to press very specific seams. Its narrow size allows you to reach just one seam among many and press it in a specific direction. I handmake each clapper from ambrosia maple which features stripes. They feature a smoothed handhold along each side to protect your hands while giving you a good grip. The clappers are unfinished to prevent damage to your fabric but are sanded to be as smooth as possible. These "skinny" clappers are 8 inches long and either 1 1/2 inches wide or 2 inches wide, compared to the normal 3 inches wide. These clappers have stripes in them that are naturally formed in the wood. Because of how the stripes are formed, there are some small holes along the stripes. These clappers are safe to use with fabric because the stripes are naturally created. The clappers are 2 inches high and weigh around 1 pound so they are heavy enough to press down your seams. Each measurement is approximate as they are made by hand.
