Vintage 1930s brown wool felt hat, made for the "Studio Styles" line by Warner Brothers Studios. This hat is signed as designed by Orry-Kelly, who did not actually sign off on the studio using his name on these labels. Because of that, from what we have researched, this hat most likely dates from 1935-37, as after that Orry-Kelly sent a cease and desist letter to the studio, who removed his name from later designs. This hat was sold at Ivey's Department Store in Charlotte, North Carolina, and we purchased it from the original owner's estate. It is in pristine condition, with no stains, holes, or moth damage. The crowns is 2" tall, and the interior circumference is 20.75". The wool "tail" on the top is 4.5" long from where it bends over the edge of the crown.
