Vintage Bib Festoon Necklace - 1960's 1970's Collectible Etruscan Coin Fringe Tassel Designed Statement Big Chunky Runway Jewelry This is an absolutely huge, ornate, and well-made, festooned Roman or Etruscan revival necklace from the 1950s or 1960s. This piece is in amazing condition, all the coins that it was made with are present, clasp and chains are all the originals, gold is nice and bright across the entire piece, absolutely immaculate condition. There is no maker’s mark, and after extensive searches, posting it in collectors groups asking for help tracking down the manufacturer, I am still clueless. Definitely 1950s or 1960s, quality casting on the components, three draping strands of chain on each side around the neck, a large central medallion, an ornate pendant below that, and from that pendant there are 13 individual coins on chains, each drop measures 7”. The measurement of the portion that actually goes around the neck is 16.5” or 17”, and then the central cascade of medallion, pendant, and drops, measures an additional 10 inches down the front. This is a truly amazing and eye catching piece of exceptional costume jewelry. A truly beautiful piece of fine craftsmanship. A VERY bold eye catching statement piece.
