Cet automne, le plan de menthe du jardin était énorme ! Aussi, lorsque j’ai trouvé chez Ok c bon cette petite vidéo proposant une recette toute simple, je me suis dit que c’était la recette à tester pour écouler mon stock et pour peut-être, un jour, enfin apprécier le sirop de menthe (le seul sirop du commerce que je n’aime pas !) J’avais également envie de me la raconter un peu avec une petite recette « do it yourself », c’est donc chose faite, je sais désormais faire mon propre sirop de menthe maison et en plus, je le trouve super bon, car plus doux et plus parfumé !!! Après, je n’ai pas un mérite énorme car c’est vraiment super simple, mais c’est pas grave, chui quand même super fière ! Alors vous aussi, faites comme moi, faites les petits malins avec votre home made sirop ! Pour une petite bouteille de sirop 50 cl d’eau 500 g de sucre en poudre Une grosse botte de menthe fraiche Dans une casserole, mélanger l’eau et le sucre et porter à ébullition, puis laisser cuire jusqu’à ce que cela prenne une consistance sirupeuse et ce cela nappe et colle à une cuillère plongée dans le mélange. Pendant ce temps, laver et effeuiller la menthe, plus on en met et plus parfumé sera le sirop. Lorsque l’on obtient un sirop de sucre, couper le feu et jeter les feuilles de menthe. Remuer un peu, couvrir et laisser infuser plusieurs heures, voire une nuit, à température ambiante. Filtrer et conserver au frais dans une bouteille (ce sirop se conserve plusieurs semaines). Il est possible d'ajouter un peu de colorant vert si on souhaite une couleur plus soutenue...
