About The Artwork In this piece: 'The Prime Ingredient in a Big Piece of Pi (π) - Panel # 13 (3,372 - 3,660 digits), I have encoded and carved the panel with 289 digits of the Pi number (which represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter). Within this sequence, I have highlighted (with the Prime colours, on a rotating basis), the first four single-digit Prime numbers (2, 3, 5, 7) contained within them - in an exploration of the aesthetic in Number Theory. This piece is just one of the panels in a current series of 43 panels (spanning 25 meters at last measurement), containing the first 12,586 digits of Pi. The beauty of this project is that it will never end - Pi is infinite!
