Includes words with the vowel digraphs: -oo as in book, shook, overlooked This game is played like the popular "bang." Cards are laid face down, each student picks up a card and if they can read it, they keep the card, I have the students read the card out loud and the other students make sure they read it correctly. If they can’t read it their teammates tell them the word and they place it back in the pile. The umbrella card means they must put all their cards back. The butterfly card means they get to pick another card. The first person to receive a certain number of cards win. I change the number depending on how many people are playing (with a group of 4-5, usually 7 is a good number).
