Trixie Motel Queen of Hearts Room Reveal - Designed by Dani Dazey This past year I went on the journey of my life as a designer and human being. I was chosen among hundreds of designers to design the Trixie Motel. A 7 bedroom motel in Palm Springs California, purchased by drag icon Trixie Mattel. Not only were we renovating and designing a run down motel, but the whole process was filmed and is now a TV show streaming on Discovery+! I began the designing and pre production on the show started in early 2021, and by fall we were breaking ground in Palm Springs. I lived in a hotel during filming with my fiancè and two dogs for almost 5 months. I was one of the most difficult yet rewarding experiences of my life.
