Hi Friends, I wanted to share a few images and ideas in case you are thinking of an impromptu New Year's Eve dinner or small celebration. I'm not a "tablescaper" like some of you, but I thought it would be fun to see a few tablescapes and gather some common themes. I've always wanted to do this, but our anniversary is at the end of December, so I've never gotten around to planning one. But that didn't keep me from admiring and checking out some fun inspiration for a vintage vibe New Year's Eve gathering. I thought I'd share some wonderful Pinterest ideas... Farmstyle New Year's Eve Tablescape from Vintage Country Style I fell in love with this small group table with farmhouse style. From using copies of vintage sheet music and chalkboards to chilling the champagne in a galvanized bucket. Of course clock face images adorn the party hat table decor. Quickly on browsing through Pinterest, it's easy to see a decor theme for tablescapes. The color scheme is the first to stand out with black/gold/silver and white being the predominant hues for the table. In some ways it makes it a bit easier to pull together china or pottery for the base of the tablescape decor. New Year's Eve: Going for the Gold I love the mass of varied clear wine bottles with white candles. It creates such a dramatic ambiance with candlelight and bits of bling; other table decor really isn't necessary. Home is Where the Boat Is: The Night Circus Mary creates amazing tablescapes that evoke a festive vintage mood. Here is one of her detailed New Year's Eve settings. Again we see the old clock face motif with black/silver/gold in vintage and antique accessories. A Country French New Year Mercury Glass votives, fresh greens and a galvanized tin centerpiece create a gorgeous French Country tablescape. New Year's Eve Chic More gold and candlelight with the clock faces as table decor and mercury glass votives. Gold and silver Christmas ornaments with strings of pearls meander for a centerpiece. Here the leopard print and grays work as a neutral in an overhead view. Using different clock faces keeps it interesting. New Year's Eve I love the idea of hanging objects, ornaments, and clocks from a chandelier above the tablescape. The vintage silver ice bucket is used as a centerpiece this time for a small intimate setting. New Year's Ideas Printing out copies of antique clock faces make it super easy to create your own themed New Year's "china" by using glass or heavy plastic dinnerware with the print underneath. Actually, this could work for any themed dinner party theme by just attaching any photocopy print under glass. Gold New Year's Eve Party So many fun ideas and inspiration to dress up your table here.
