Hello my lovelies! I am excited to show you a furniture makeover that I redid for my living room. Sick and tired of the espresso stained Ikea furniture I decided to paint my Markor sideboard a gorgeous red! Using Caliente Red from Benjamin Moore and new hardware from Lee Valley.... I took this sideboard from blah to beautiful. The mirror will be getting a makeover as well and finding a new home elsewhere in this space. I am also almost done collecting art and plates to hang above the sideboard. Can't wait to show you all! My favourite part....the hardware. So purty. See the hinges? They are Ikea specific so I used a gold leaf pen from Michaels to cover the hinges! There you have it, my fabulous sideboard. All it cost me was the hardware as I had the paint kicking around! But.... I have a confession to make, I did not paint the sideboard this week. I painted this a month ago, well before the challenge began. I knew I would be busy the first few weeks of the challenge so I kind of started early... But the rest of the projects will be done in "real" time. One more exciting addition.... This artwork is coming from The Pink Pagoda's etsy shop, another blogger participating in this challenge! Her artwork is perfect for my space and I emailed her to tell her so.
