After spending time at Oktoberfest we walked around Munich - always a great city to check out. On the way to the S-Bahn stop we passed the Asamkirche. It's actually the Church of St. Johann Nepomuk but named after the brothers that built it. Most of the time you can step into the tiny lobby but not much further. Today the main part of the church was open so we checked it out. It's from the late Baroque period (mid-1700s) and extremely wild and elaborate on the inside. I'm always amazed by how much art and architecture are in these old churches. I took these photos in mid-September 2019.
