Purling Brook Falls, Springbrook National Park, Qld, Australia. This 40m waterfall is surrounded by mostly subtropical rainforest. The two lookouts either side of the waterfall are only a short walk from the car park and provide breathtaking views down the valley as well as the waterfall particularly after rain. For the more energetic there is longer circuit walk down to the valley below. Shortly after I took this shot the heavens opened stopping any thoughts of walking further. In fact we had lunch in the car before looking at the Antarctic Beech trees further up the road before heading back to our hotel at Surfers Paradise where it was sunny.
