As it turns out, Oreos are not a superfood. One of the beautiful realities of thru-hiking is that you can eat literally whatever you want and either not gain weight, or more likely, lose a ridiculous amount of it. For the average person, this translates to a half-year hall pass for whatever one chooses to jam down their swallow hole. For my AT thru-hike, this meant an ungodly amount of Oreos, Snickers, and Little Debbies.
