What would you if you found yourself pushed to the very limits of your endurance? Would you dig down deep, and find some unseen reserve of strength to get back up after stumbling, or would you just give up? It’s often said that a person’s character truly comes to the surface not when everything is going perfectly, but when times are hard. When the going gets tough, the tough really do get going.Consider U.S. Army Captain Sarah Cudd. In going after the coveted Expert Field Medical Badge, one of the most prestigious badges the Army has – and one of the hardest to attain – she found herself pushed to that limit. She was in the last leg of getting that badge – a 12-mile march with heavy equipment. She was so close to the finish line, but then stumbled and fell. A fellow soldier filmed the entire thing, and thanks to him we now know what never giving up looks like.
