After it is fully cured (for your order it will be about 3 weeks) you can use mild detergent as “Ivory Dish Soup” or “Simple Green” will work too. Stay away from oil-based cleaners and ammonia. Use a damp soft lint-free cloth and avoid abrasion. For fixing accidental scratches and dents on the stained tabletop and shelves: - lightly sand the area of the scratch and the dent - apply the supplied Tung oil with a soft, lint-free rag to the area of the scratch and the dent. - leave it to dry for 30-40 minutes - wipe out any area of Tung oil that has not soaked in - repeat as needed to match the color of the top of the shelf. We work with different wood species including domestic hardwoods, exotic lumber, cedar and specialty softwoods, and eastern pine. Find us also on the web at www.woodworkingentity.com
