A detailed print of my original painting titled 'When The Blues Come, And The Rains Fall, He is There’. Recently I’ve found myself in a bit of blue, rainy season. I just haven’t seemed to be able to stop the tears. As much as I dread blue seasons, as much as I pray for the rains to stop, these seasons always remind me of how close He is. I might even feel closer to Him in these moments than when everything id going perfectly. I know He weeps with me, and I know He weeps with you. He is the one person who understands all the emotions and pain I cannot articulate. In this piece, the girl’s dress is a patchwork of different shades of blue. There have been seasons of my life where I have only felt a tinge of blue. Seasons where I have felt none at all. Seasons where I feel surrounded in a blue so deep and dark I fear I may never escape it. Throughout every different blue, He is there. I know he is there for all of your different seasons too. Not only is here there, but He weeps with you in the rain. We may not be able prevent the blues from coming and the rain from falling, but we can find peace in the knowledge that He is always always there. This Japanese pottery technique has truly changed my life. It treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
